Constructing execution content and choosing a proposal can be separated.
LET’S PICTURE IT
One team assembles a package while another selects which package to submit.
SEE IT FOR YOURSELF
Receive, check and share across independent nodesStep 1 / 4
A node receives a proposed transaction or block-related message. Receipt is not the same as accepting its claims.
A node receives a proposed transaction or block-related message. Receipt is not the same as accepting its claims. The node checks the relevant authorization and protocol rules. Popularity does not make an invalid state transition valid.Valid candidate data can propagate to peers. Connections and timing differ, so there is no perfect simultaneous worldwide view.Peers validate under the same protocol rules. This illustration is about verification and propagation, not a complete proof-of-stake consensus algorithm.

Name the two responsibilities
A builder assembles execution content, while a proposer has the relevant proposal responsibility. The exact interfaces and guarantees depend on the design.
Compare implementation approaches
Out-of-protocol arrangements and enshrined proposals have different trust, timing and validation assumptions. Sharing the phrase proposer-builder separation does not make them identical.
Do not infer activation from an EIP
EIP-7732 describes an enshrined design. Its publication or review status is not by itself proof that a particular network fork has activated it.
Review the failure cases
Withheld payloads, payment rules, relay assumptions and censorship incentives matter. Read the chosen design’s original specification before making operational claims.
Map the protocol concept
builder: assemble execution content
proposer: select / submit under the chosen design
Review timing, validation, payment and withholding assumptions.
A conceptual model. Exact fields, limits and processing rules must be checked against the intended network fork.
QUICK CHECK · NO PRESSURE
Does an EIP document alone prove a PBS mechanism is active on a network?
Activation requires the network’s actual agreed fork rules.
