Advanced security scenario set

Combine multiple boundaries instead of checking each feature in isolation.

LET’S PICTURE IT

A safe lock can still be bypassed through the building’s delivery and maintenance paths.

This example begins with count zero and a request to call increment(). No real contract is deployed.

Animated local teaching model. No wallet, RPC or live blockchain data. Some labels and hashes are abbreviated for readability.

Scenario one: a delegated upgrade

Compare old and new storage layouts, then review who may change the target and initialize the resulting state. Correct layout alone does not secure authority.

Scenario two: a signed bridge action

Check domain, authenticated remote sender, destination, nonce consumption and retry behavior. Each layer answers a different authorization question.

Scenario three: a share vault callback

Test direct donations, small deposits, rounding and reentry through a supported asset. Keep the asset model and the accounting invariant explicit.

Explain the evidence limits

A scenario test can refute a property or support a bounded claim. It does not replace a full implementation review or prove that all interactions have been explored.

Work through the boundary

compose the system
state the invariant
exercise hostile cross-component sequences
review authority and evidence limits

A simplified local review scenario. The example establishes a question to test, not a guarantee of production safety.

QUICK CHECK · NO PRESSURE

Does checking each component alone prove their composition safe?
